UFC 140 took place tonight in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and If you like a a lot of fight ending action you need to go watch the event. Only 3 fights went the distance, and the crowd was treated to 6 first round finishes. In a fight of the night performance, Jon Jones defeated Lyoto Machida to retain his belt via a standing modified guillotine choke. Machida fought valiantly, but when Jones landed a solid left hand, he dove in for a take down and Jones got a hold of his neck and choked him out cold.

In the co-main event, Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira was able to hurt Frank Mir on the feet, but when the fight hit the floor Mir was able to get a hold of Nogueira’s arm in a kimura. After rolling Nogueira, Mir was able to get leverage and was able to get the tap. Unfortunately, Big Nog taped to late, and the replayed showed his arm snapping between his elbow and shoulder. The kimura earned Frank Mir the bonus for best submission of the night. This was also the first time Nogueira was finished via submission.

The Knock out of the night came by the hands of Chan Sung Jung in just 7 seconds, tying the current record for fastest knock out, against Mark Homminick.  Homminick came right out and started swinging, Jung was able to take a step back to avoid the first strike and land one of his own that sent him to the floor. He finished him seconds later with ground and pound.
